PERSONALITY: Standing at 5’5”, Ginny Weasley is the exact image of the typical “girl next door,” with soft and angelic looking facial features. Her skin is fair and smooth, with no visible signs of typical teen year blemishes. Splashes of freckles are also quite visible across her rosy cheeks and the bridge of her small, slightly turned up nose (the one part of her face that she finds revolting), which give the young woman a look of innocence. Her bright brown eyes are close set and almond shaped, and tend to reflect her emotions; when she is around people she loves and is happy, there is a glimmer of laughter and a certain glow reflecting inside of them that is not present when she is around those she dislikes. They light up when she's passionate about something, and grow dull when she's bored. Her eyelashes are long and dark, and enhance the colour of her eyes. Straight, white teeth are concealed behind full, pink lips when she smiles.Ginny’s hair, like the rest of her family’s, is fiery red and falls just below her breasts; her mother always bothers her about getting it cut, but Ginny prefers it long. She usually wears it loosely draped over her shoulders in either a straight or slightly wavy style, though she does sometimes pin it back either in a ponytail or some other kind of hairstyle to keep it out of her face on hotter days. She usually wears her bangs swept to the right side of her oval-shaped face. No matter what she does with her hair, it always smells faintly of flowers, which is how most people know that she has entered a room. She is very petite, and has minimal curves and a strong posture. She is also very slender, and people tend to underestimate her strength because of her small build.
Though Ginny does not really see the point in make-up, she does use it on occasion, but does not take it to the extreme that some of her classmates do. She only uses enough to enhance her soft facial features. Now that she’s older, she has also developed new tastes in clothing, and her favourite outfits are usually made up of jeans, a sweater or tank top, and either sandals or sneakers depending on the weather. She does own a few skirts and dresses, though she isn’t as fond of them, and also owns some dress robes to wear to the occasional special event or party. Mostly, she just wears the mandatory Hogwarts uniform.

HISTORY: Ginevra Molly Weasley was born on August 11, 1981 as the youngest and final child born to Arthur and Molly Weasley. Her birth marked the day that a female was finally born into the Weasley family for several generations; her birth was also, in a word, a surprise. It was not that her parents were not expecting a child, it was because they had resigned to the fact that they would be adding yet another male into the family. Though her family was shocked, however, Ginny instantly earned the love of all the members of her family.
Growing up as the youngest child and only girl meant endless teasing and just as much over-protection from all sides. Each brother had their own special job for their only sister; Bill took her with him on trips into the village, and Charlie was the one to bring her presents from both his school days and his trips to Romania. Percy was often too busy with studying to have much to do with her, but, on rare occasions that he took time out to spend with her, her usually provided somewhat interesting conversation and gave her a bit of advice. The twins, however, were the ones that Ginny naturally gravitated too. She often joined in on their tricks, tormenting Ron, or saving them both from their mother's legendary temper. Through it all however, Ron remained her closest and favourite brother.
Ron was the one she told all her secrets too, shared her Chocolate Frogs with, and spent most of her time with. They spent a lot of time together; playing, learning how to read, or helping their mother do work around the house. Both of them were often left out of things, and on the rare occasion when Ron got to tag along with the older boys, Ginny was perfectly capable of occupying herself. Ron was the only brother who would play dolls with Ginny when she was little, and was always trying to do things to keep her from crying or being upset. As Ginny got older, she enjoyed nothing more than chasing Ron around the house and yard, and they even talked about starting school. All through their her childhood, Ginny was always protected by her brothers, but Ron was the most protective of all. Just before Ron left for Hogwarts, Ginny realized that she would be alone at the Burrow, and put instant guilt into her favourite brother's heart. A few weeks later, she watched with teary eyes as Ron boarded the train and headed off for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Hogwarts was a rite of passage in the Weasley household. Each child, especially Ginny, grew up hearing stories from their parents and older siblings of the Charmed corridors, the House ghosts, and other goings on within the castle. Likewise, each child waited anxiously for their eleventh birthday and the first trip on the Hogwarts Express. Watching as her brothers all went to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Ginny anxiously awaited her turn to board the big crimson train and travel to the well known school.
Ginny’s chance to attend Hogwarts came in 1992, only a year after Ron was admitted, and she was excited and anxious to finally join her brothers at last. Her school career started off normally enough, but as life began to settle into a routine she realized two things. One was that her brothers weren’t going to be her best friends, essentially leaving her alone in a sea full of Gryffindors with other people to worry about. It didn’t help that most were interested in Harry Potter and he seemed interested in anything that distinctly didn’t involve Ginny. As the isolation and loneliness grew, Ginny found herself writing down her thoughts and heartbreak in a diary she found amongst her school books, only to discover that the diary wrote back and offered comfort and advice. Unbeknown to her, the magic diary belonged to Voldemort, and the memory of his eighteen year old self was preserved inside, looking for someone to use as a servant. Eventually, Voldemort began to regularily possess the youngest Weasley, and she was forced to re-open the Chamber of Secrets and send a giant snake called a Basilisk after several Muggle-born students. While no one exactly knew that Ginny had been the one responsible for unleashing the Basilisk and opening the Chamber, there were certainly enough rumours to keep people away. At the end of the year, Ginny herself was taken into the Chamber with the intention of becoming a sacrifice so that Voldemort's memory could become fully human. The process was almost complete, and Ginny was only an inch from death, when Harry Potter showed up and revived her by killing the Basilisk and destroying the diary with one of it's fangs.
Ginny's second year, in many ways, was much more difficult than her first. She was still recovering from all of the events that had occured the previous year, and she was still too shy to relax and act like herself in the presence of Harry, whom she had become quite taken with. Though nothing terribly life-threatening occured that year, Ginny was still the same, shy, quiet and awkward girl that she had come to school as. It was hard for her to open up to anyone after what happened with the diary, and she found it hard to trust anyone. As a result, she basically alienated herself from everyone, and was very reserved and quiet, preferring to keep to herself and not socialize with anyone.
During her third year, however, Ginny began to leave the past where it should be. She began seeking out her own friends and avoided hanging in the shadow of her over-protective brothers. This was the year that she formed a quick and lasting friendship with both Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood, and eventually received an invitation to the Yule Ball from Neville. The Yule Ball was the event that helped transform Ginny from an awkward girl with a few friends that nobody else seemed to like, into a social circle full of people both in Ron's year and in her own. Thankfully, this also helped to bring her vibrant personality to the forefront and allowed her to move away from dwelling on a diary and the man that became Voldemort. That year, Ginny also met, and befriended fellow Gryffindor third year, Derek Collins.
Her fourth year brought on further changes for the young girl. Not only did she land a position on her house Quidditch team to replace a sidelined Harry, she also named the society that was formed to protest Dolores Umbridge and her presence within Hogwarts, and eventually won the Quidditch Cup for Gryffindor by catching the Snitch. It was during this year that she met Michael Corner, a fourth year Ravenclaw, who eventually became her first ever boyfriend. That year, Ginny also looked evil in the face for the first time when she became one of the five people to accompany Harry to the Department of Ministries in an attempt to rescue his godfather, Sirius Black. During that battle, Ginny worked along side Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, Neville and several members of the Order of the Phoenix to fight against the Death Eaters and make the wizarding world finally understand that Voldemort was truly back. The end of the year made things complicated, with both her first breakup, and then the start of a new relationship in a matter of weeks with her fellow Gryffindor, Dean Thomas. Though the rest of the year was difficult to get through, Ginny moved through it smoothly and left eagerly awaiting her fifth year.
Ginny's fifth year was when things began to go from good to what Ron would describe as 'bloody brilliant'. Ginny's dream Quidditch position had always been that of Chaser, as she felt she lacked the coordination and patience to sit and look for the Snitch, and after trying out for the position, she was selected. At least until Harry once again landed himself in detention for the rest of the school year, and missed the final game of the season. This made Ginny have to substitute in as Seeker once again, where she retrieved the Snitch for the second year in a row. From there, she turned from merely a semi-popular girl, to the talk of the school by catching the eye of her long-term crush, and the school's local heartthrob at the time, Harry Potter. After finally showing her how he felt by kissing her in front of the entire house of Gryffindor, Harry and Ginny began dating, much to her delight. Everything seemed to be picking up in her life, but soon things started looking down again. All the students of Hogwarts watched as Death Eaters attacked the school and Dumbledore was murdered by the one man that he trusted most. As her fourth, and most anticipated relationship drew to a close because Harry didn’t want to risk her safety, Ginny realized that she would be going through her last two years at Hogwarts without Ron, Hermione and Harry.
Now in her sixth year, Ginny, her family, Harry, Hermione and several others watched as Bill Weasley married Fleur Delacour. The reception was short-lived, however, when Death Eaters showed up and began wreaking havoc. After all of the chaos, Ginny returned to Hogwarts, unprepared for the nightmare that she was about to face. At school, she became Neville's 'second-in-command', helping him organize and lead Dumbledore's Army to stand up against the Carrows and their rein of punishment among the student body. It wasn’t the most useful job, and certainly wasn’t where she wanted to be, but it was enough to at least make Ginny feel useful, something that had never happened when she was living at home or at Number 12 Grimmauld Place. During the Easter holidays, the entire Weasley family was forced to re-locate to their Auntie Muriel’s after Death Eaters found out that Ron was not sick with spattergroit, as they had originally been told. Ginny and quite a few others that she knows have not returned to school, and are now anxiously spending their days worrying about Harry, Ron, and Hermione – who have not been heard from in quite a while. She hopes that they’re alright, and hopes that when this is all over she can get back with Harry.
