HISTORY:
Katerina's birth was a hard one. The healers said that it would be Arleen or the baby. In the end both made it through and Arleen went on to have two more children later on in life. Katerina was by far Arleen's favorite. Though she never admitted to having favorites, it was clear that Kat and Arleen had a bond that no one could understand. This bond would come to haunt Kat later on. But Kat grew well, rather small because she was premature, but she was a healthy and powerful child. When most children showed signs of magic around six, Katerina was showing signs at eight months when she started walking. The first time anyone noticed was when she was trying to stand up and had nothing to grab onto. she suddenly zoomed across the floor to grab onto a chair and proceed to pulling herself up.

Kat was always rather quick at learning things. When she was eight she was already reading Shakespeare and Austen. Kat was simply gifted, though she tended to make up for her giftedness by being a bit of a trouble maker. OK well a BIG one. Kat seemed to always be in trouble or getting into it. Kat had perfected the art of lying so that she could stay out of some trouble and she got very good at it.

When Katerina was eleven is when tragedy struck the family. Kat who had been shopping with her mother for her school things when they were the victim of a muggle robbery. Her mother gave them everything she had but drew her wand to curse them, the muggers thought she was pulling a gun or knife and reacted, shooting her right in the heart. Katerina screamed until the cops showed up. When Katerina went to school in September, it was wish a mournful and depressed mood. She made no friends her first year at school and was avoided because of how she often just slumped where ever she was. There was no energy in her anymore. The teachers tried to engage her, but she was simply to tired to care.

it wasn't until one potions class when a Professor Snape yelled at her did she ever do anything other then just apologize and go back to sleep. Kat cracked and began to cry. she ran from the class ignoring Snape as he called her back. She hide in a dungeon so long the teachers got worried and sent a search party. It was Snape who found her and carried her to the hospital. Once awake Snape apologized for yelling at the girl and simply told her that it was time to move on. So Kat did, but since then she had a little crush on Snape.

The rest of Kat's Hogwarts years were spent in detention. She was always in trouble and always making pranks or jokes to get in trouble. Kat finally left school and went into the Muggle world as a library clerk. She didn't care to much for the job since it called for her to be quiet and respectful, but she did enjoy the books. One day Kat was called to see Professor Doumbledoor. Dumbledoor told her that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was back and gaining power. A little frightened and worried, Kat was confused as to what she could do. Doubledoor wanted her to get in touch with her wizarding family, the Avery's. Kat explained that the Avery's hated her and her family because of her blood status but Doubledoor told her how to get back in with them. Katerine asked why he wanted her to do this, and he said he would tell her soon.

Katerina did as she was told (for once) and got back in with the Avery's. Kat changed her last name to Avery to "get away from her mixed blood shame" and when she returned to report to Dumbledoor he then explained her job. She was to get in close to one Bellatrix Lestrange. Doubledoor wanted her to be close to Bellatrix and gain her confidence so that should Kat ever get to the order, Kat would be close enough to Bellatrix that she could kill her when needed. Kat was eager to get started.

Katerina didn't take long to gt close to Bellatrix. On a slightly disturbing level the two were much a like, both eager to please the dark lord (though Bella was much more eager then Kat) both willing to do anything, both energetic and both clever and cunning. Katerina was to report to Snape, something she didn't object to. But being near Snape, Kat felt her old crush flaring up again. Kat has been suppressing it but suspects that Bellatrix knows of her feelings.

With Doubledoor gone and the order thinking both Snape and Kat are traitors and worse Death Eaters, Katerina has been panicking, but Snape has helped her keep her cool. Snape reminds Kat of her mission often and even more demands she stays in it. Kat is often found at Malfoy manor since she is so close to Bellatrix and Bella is with her sister most of the time.
