There was a loud crack as Katerina appeared standing out front of the gate to the Malfoys. She sighed and went right through it, the gate acting like smoke as she went through it. Katerina walked swiftly her high heals making crunching sounds as she walked up the drive. She saw three white peacocks strut across her path. Kat pulled out her want and pointed it at one of them "Reducio!" she muttered as the peacock made a little squeak and suddenly shrank to the size of a tea cup. There was a cackle from in front of her and Katerina looked up to see Bellatrix standing there, a hand on her hip and a big smile on her face. "I find those things annoying as well. Why Cissie lets Lucius keep them around is beyond me." she said flicking her hand as if flicking a fly away. I shrugged and looked down at the peacocks as they ran away, fleeing Katerina. "So pompous in my opinion." she said shaking her head and walking over to her mentor. Bellatrix put an arm around Katerina's shoulders "I have a treat for you, little one." she said wiggling.
Once Kat and Bella entered the giant shinning dinning room Katerina found a muggle laying on the floor. Katerina felt her stomach stiffen like it normally did when she was going to have to do something she didn't want to do. The muggle was no older then her, male, and he seemed to be rather thin and sickly. But Kat kept her game face. She smiled at Bellatrix "What fun be this?" she asked wiggling a little as she went to stand near the muggle. "He's the son of the muggle minister. We are having a little fun with him." Bella said flicking her wand at him and making him scream with agony and then lay still again.

Draco stood by the window, staring emptily out of in the very large and nearly silent dining room, unable to look at the muggle lying on the floor. Bellatrix had left the room not soon after she brought the boy in, leaving Draco to babysit him, not like he was really going anywhere in his paralyzed state. His mother was probably in her room, she spent most of her time there when father was out and running errands for the Dark Lord. Where the Dark Lord was, Malfoy didn't really care. He was happy he wasn't there. Not like the manor improved that much without him there though. He sighed, rubbing his tired eyes, wondering whether the dark baggy lines under them would ever go away. What was once his home was now a torture chamber, and he could not escape it. He let his mind wander away, back to the years he spent at Hogwarts. Well, the years before he was brought into service of he-who-must-not-be-named. He missed it more than anything. He had always said that it was a lame excuse for a school, but he didn't think that anymore. It was the most wonderful place on earth. But he could not go back there, they wouldn't ever let him, not after what he had done, or at least attempted to have done. And in time, it would be ruined, all of it.
Draco heard faint voices and footsteps, getting closer and closer, louder and louder until his aunt, Bellatrix returned to the room. He did not move, did not turn around, keeping his blue eyes trained on the grounds outside. She wasn't alone this time. He heard Katarina Avery's voice, a young woman who had joined the death eaters however long ago, who was rather close to Bellatrix. Practically sisters, they seemed. More like each other than Draco's Mother and his aunt were, Narcissa being more quiet and timid.
"What fun be this?" "He's the son of the muggle minister. We are having a little fun with him."
Draco tried not to visibly flinch when the boy let out a piercing scream of agony, closing his eyes and resting his forehead against the cold windowpane, trying to block everything out.

Katerina looked up when Draco walked in. Kat smiled widely, flashing her white teeth at him. Katerina liked Draco, he was a sweetheart when he wanted to be, and he was a racist pig when he wasn't, though she preferred sweetheart Draco, she enjoyed his company none the less. "Howdy Draco!" Katerina said in her clear American accent. Though Kat had spent most of her life in the UK she had been raised mostly in the US which is how she got the accent. Kat looked back as Bella made the muggle scream again. Kat was Queen of the poker face, still a small smile on her face as she watched the muggle scream and wriggle with pain. Kat simply looked at the muggle, a small smile still on her face. Bellatrix laughed and looked at Draco. "Draco! Come, play!" she said, making it sound more like and order. Katerina's eyes narrowed as she watched Bellatrix lift her hand to pull him over.
"Come now, Bella!" Kat said jumping up, she had been sitting on the table watching Bella, and bouncing over to Bella. She draped herself on her mentor and smiled "The boy is to young to appreciate the fun!" Kat said winking at Draco. She knew the truth. Draco didn't really, in his heart, have the stomach for this. All rod no carrot. Katerina walked over and put an arm on Draco's shoulder, leaning on him like he was a wall "Why waste the fun on a tween who wont even enjoy it?" Kat asked as she pointed her wand at the muggle. She felt her stomach tighten and felt the same lump in her throat as she always did when she said "Crucio!" The muggle screamed louder then every and arched his back almost lifting him completely off the floor. Katerina laughed with Bellatrix as Bella went over and kicked the muggle "How was that, Muggle?" she asked spitting on him. Bella laughed as she stood straight, looking proud "My little Katty sure can cause pain." she said laughing. Kat waved her hand as if she was trying to look modest. "Not as much as well as my idol." Kat said bowing her head a little, still leaning on Draco.

"Howdy Draco!"
He allowed himself a small glance from the window, giving his head a slight nod at Kat in response to her greeting. He then promptly returned his gaze to the clear glass, staring again at the desolate sky. He murmured absently, "Father won't be happy about his peacock. " He heard his aunt call out to him, her voice sharp and commanding. Fun. He'd heard much too many fearful sobs and horrified screams in this house to associate torture as anything associated with fun. His aunt sickened him, he was scared of her at the very least. He braced himself, waiting for Bellatrix to attempt to force him, to please her desires. But Katerina broke in.
"Come now, Bella! The boy is to young to appreciate the fun!"
Malfoy frowned, feeling belittled by her words, but caught her wink. He did feel small by what she said, but he knew she was doing it to save him. He didn't want anything to do with torturing this muggle boy and she knew that. He couldn't hurt this stranger anymore than he could kill Dumbledore. He didn't want to bend to their pressure anymore, but he didn't want to die either, nor have his parents suffer because of him. Kat leaned against him, continuing to cover for him. He wasn't completely sure if it was to be nice or to keep more of the "fun" for herself. He wondered this as she flicked her wand, making the boy writhe in pain. Katerina being so close to him, he could breathe her scent. It didn't smell anything like death, oddly, it smelt sweet.
He stared at the polished wood floor beneath his feet, listening to Kat and Bella, wondering how long the muggle would last the so-called "fun".

Jamie had been staying with the Malfoy's for some time now. He knew that this was where it was all happening and he wanted to be close to the dark lord. Jamie had been up stairs in his room when he saw Katerina walk into the manor. Kat always had something new or interesting to say and with the Malfoy's all being on edge and stressed they held no more interest for him then a fish did. Jamie walked into the room the same time Katerina made the muggle scream. Jamie looked away from the muggle, ignoring the screams. He looked back to see Kat leaning on Draco. Katerina and Jamie had been in school together, she was two yeas older, but he knew her. He was still surprised she became a death eater, and on top of that Bellatrix right hand. Kat had struck him more of a trickster not a psychotic killer.
"Katerina!" Jamie said stepping forward holding him self with the dignity he knew came with his pure blood, a dignity Katerina did not have. "What are you doing here? I thought you were in America with your half blood siblings." he said glaring at the girl. Jamie didn't much care for how unpredictable Katerina was. Jamie had had her as a blood traitor but she surprised him by joining. He didn't like how she kept him on his toes. He liked things to be a bit more controlled, not all over the place like Kat and Bella. He walked over to stand in front of the woman, he was only a few inches taller then her with her muggle heals on. Another thing that annoyed Jamie, he love for muggle clothing. How did that fit when she was busy tormenting one on the floor only feet away. "Did you tier of them so quickly?" he asked, his lip curling a little at her.
outfit 317 notes...I thought Jamie and Kat wouldn't get a long to much, she really is to flamboyant for his liking. don't you agree riah?

Kat shrugged at Draco's comment about the peacock "Eh, it will right its self soon enough." Kat bumped her hip into Draco's, trying to cheer the poor boy up "Your the one in school, shouldn't you know that?" she teased. Kat felt for the boy. His parents were in such a horrible position, which put him in a horrible position. His life seemed to only have gotten worse since the dark lord ordered him to kill Dumbledore. Something he still hadn't managed to do. Kat had been there. It was probably the hardest thing she ever had to do in this job. She couldn't imagine how it was for Severus. Severus....
Katerina turned, no longer leaning on Draco, to look at Jamie. Kat put her hands on her hips as he got closer to her. She had to admit, it was hard to keep her head when Jamie was around. He was an annoying little git. "Oh Jamison is here! Bella" Katerina said turning to look at her mentor, who glared at Jamie as well "why didn't you tell me the king of annoyance was here?" she asked looking back at Jamie "What the matter Jamie? Your horrible life got to boring and you decided to impose on the Malfoy's? So noble of you." Kat said in a mocking tone. Kat and Jamie had never gotten along, not even at school. Katerina had almost lost her cool when she first saw Jamie. Jamie knew her as an avid Muggle lover, it risked to much having him here why she was trying to act like a death eater. Lucky for Kat, she managed to keep herself together.

"Eh, it will right its self soon enough. Your the one in school, shouldn't you know that?"
She bumped into him playfully, luckily it wasn't hard enough to make him lose his balance. He didn't know if he would catch himself. He always felt like that. Like his whole life was off-balance. Except he told himself that nothing really mattered anymore. Nothing except his parents, even if his father had gotten them in this whole mess by joining the Dark Lord in the first place. He just felt numb, like if his whole world just fell apart and shattered, then that would be it, he'd just go down with it all, and that'd be fine. Wasn't that what was happening anyways? Wasn't everything different than it was for him before? He had been a cruel child, but it wasn't like this. The world wasn't so twisted and broken. At least, not Malfoy's world. He shook his head faintly, barely visible, and said quietly to the ground. She was probably trying to help, but reminding him of school which was where he wasn't because he was trapped here didn't really make him feel better. "Not anymore..."
There he was again, pitying himself. He found himself doing that too often lately. He sighed, making a weak attempt at appearing cheered, but she seemed deep in thought for a moment, miles away. Then she turned away to deal with Jamison. He didn't pay any more attention to Draco than Draco paid to him. Malfoy, being the youngest of the death eaters was sometimes overlooked, except for when they wanted him to do something of course. He didn't know what made Jamison and Katerina dislike each other so much, but whatever it was, he stayed out of it. He sighed, shedding a small look in the muggle boy's direction, as long as they were busy arguing, they'd leave their captive alone, at least for a little while.

Jamie glared at Katerina. Oh how he longed to curse her to death. But Jamie kept his composer, standing straight, proud. "At least I don't pretend to be higher then i am." Jamie snapped at her before he walked around to look at the muggle on the floor. He curled a lip at the thing and scoffed at how pathetic the thing was. Or at least he was trying to seem so. He didn't want Bellatrix or Katerina to believe him weak. Least of all the latter. Jamie turned to Draco and glared at the little coward. "Draco, why are you cowering in the corner like a child?" he snapped at him.
Jamie acted fast swinging and blocking the spell from Bellatrix as she yelled "Don't you DARE speak to my nephew like that!" Jamie blocked the spell and glared at Bellatrix "Well if he's only going to sit there and cower he might as well being doing something usefully, like perhaps helping punish the muggle for its filthy blood." he said defensively. Jamie sighed and then looked at Katerina who looked just as annoyed with Jamie. He glared at her, his eyes narrowing at her. "Maybe you'll be next, Kat. your half blood." Jamie said with a dark voice. He knew that at school, Kat loved her muggle father, though she claimed that his death had been of her own making, he doubted that she had done so since she claimed to be so close to him at school. it was often that Kat spoke of some crazy tripe with her American father. Jamie did not believe her lies of hating her muggle father. She was a liar and Jamie would prove it sooner or later.

Katerina had already blocked Jamie out when he started in on Draco. Kat tended to zone out when Jamie started talking, even at school. It might surprise people to find that Kat was older then Jamie. Jamie and Kat had been in the same house at Hogwarts and were as friendly then as now. A.K.A. Not at all. It had started one day not soon long after school started. Jamie was a cocky little prat, and Kat had been willing to look past the cover and read the content closely. Jamie, had made it clear that he was deep as a spoon. One day, Jamie had gotten into a little scuff with some older Slytherins and his books and so on were thrown all over the ground, Kat, trying to be nice, stooped down to help him pick his things up when he called her a filthy half blood and spat at her. Since then Kat and Jamie had hated one another. On top of that, Kat often spoke of her muggle father, perhaps a little to affectionately for her to act like she disowned him now. Kat had spun to glare at Jamie when he insulted Draco. Katerina had been about to curse him when Bella stepped in. She put a hand on her hip and glared at Jamie as he spoke to Bella. But when he started in on her, it was over.
"Careful, Jamison." she warned "Remember who my mentor is and what she has done. Don't think I won't do the same." she said walking over to stand right in Jamie's personal space "If you ever bring up my blood status again, I will imperiess you and force you to walk into a blazing fireplace." she hissed at him "Do not doubt me, boy. I will kill you." She said still glaring at him as she backed away from him and headed to stand over the muggle "Crucio." she said simply, imagining it was Jamie on the floor. She kept it up until a familiar voice behind her said
"Enjoying yourself, Katerina." Kat whipped around to see Snape standing behind a terrified looking Jamie. When had he gotten here? Kat felt her heart give a little jolt. She was aware that Snape was running Hogwarts and it was unlikely that she would see him but here he was. She had much news to give him on her dealings and she was starving for new on Potter and the order. "Severus." Bella said walking over to stand next to Katerina leaning on her a little. "What are you doing here?" she asked glaring at him. It was common knowledge that Bella hated Snape and Snape the same. Snape glared at Bellatrix "I have news for the Dark Lord. And I was over due for a check in." He said looking to Kat. Kat knew that by check in he meant with her. Kat had to keep up appearances so she put a hand on her hip and leaned on Bella as well "He means he's getting board with head master duties and wants something else to do, Bella." Kat said in a boring tone. "I think your right little one." Bella said as the two of the glared at Snape, who seemed unconcerned with them.
