How late was it? Or, more like how early was it? Ron couldn't tell you. All he knew was that there was stars above his head and he had been up for atleast and hour now. He was sure that either Hermione or Harry would be up soon the relieve him of his watch duty, he never got the longer shift. Ron felt pretty useless right now. Here he was, a locket around his neck and his left arm wrapped and covered, trying to heal from his spling. He suppose he was luck it wasn't his right arm, or Harry and Hermione wouldn't let him do anything. They barely let him do anything now, except watch when they both had two shifts already that night.
Ron was poking the small fire Hermione had created earlier, watching the sparks fly every time he poked it with his stick. He didn't have his radio out with him tonight, just sitting in silence wondering. He wondered how his family was, had Ginny returned to Hogwarts or stayed with the family in hiding. He was sure after the wedding they were hiding, he just hoped to god the Burrow hadn't been destroyed. There were too many good memories there, one that he would never be able to push away. Not to mention he worried about his family. Were they okay? Were they actually in hiding or had they been captured by Death Eaters? He shivered at the thought of what could of happened to them.
But for the trio everything was alright he supposed. He felt as though he was dragging his friends down though. They could be Apparating left right and center, but because of Ron they had to travel on foot. Of course, he was also the one who could contribute anything either. He wasn't the chosen one or the smart one. No, he was the useless one. But he supposed it didn't matter right now. Between the three of them, they were still having difficulty finding a Horcrux, and the only one they had, which was around his neck, they couldn't destroy. He let out a loud sigh. Hermione had said the Horcrux brought out the worse in all of them, and he supposed that was what was going on right now, but he didn't know he could feel so angry. He wondered if anyone was going to come out soon, he was feeling miserable and just wanted to sleep. STATUS?! complete! WORDS?! 407 TAGGED?! either harry or hermione, doesn't matter! Some where from the time he started Hogwarts to now, Harry became a leader of sorts. He became a role model and a hero and he had no idea why. He was a hero before he even knew what a hero was. All he did was get a scar. Now here he was, on the run and hiding to try and find something he had no idea about. Hermione helped a lot because she was able to research everything. The only thing they needed to figure out was what the next one was. It was frustrating living on the run. He loved his friends but the tight spaces and constant time together was starting to get them all on the edge. Plus it didn't help that the horcrux brought out the worse in them whenever it was worn. But he didn't know of a safer place to keep it. He made a mental note to see if Hermione could think of any spells that would maybe keep it warded. He didn't want to chance putting into her purse because if it got knocked around and opened up, they'd be in for hell without a way to destroy it. That was the only thing his mind every revolved around anymore. That and Ginny. He wondered about her too often. And the other Weasleys. They were his only family. He hated that they were all at risk simply because.
He ducked down, exitting the tent to find Ron, sitting there, "Oi." He called out, picking a spot next to Ron and sitting down, "You should probably get some sleep, Ron." Harry noted, holding his hand out for the evil necklace. He knew that Ron felt guilty for a number of things. Harry didn't blame him for anything but he didn't know how to say so. It felt like their friendship hit a rut and he wasn't sure how to go about it. There just seemed to much more important things to think and talk about instead of his friendship with Ron, which he saw as unfailing. Ron and him could never stop being friends, right?

Hermione had been sleeping. She woke when she heard Harry calling out. Hermione had been on edge so much lately it was easy to wake her. She sat up and rubbed her eyes quickly. Once she was sure that the sleep was out of them she stood and walked to the small mirror over the sink. Hermione straightened her hair and made sure she looked semi OK before she went and stood in the tent door seeing Ron and Harry. Hermione smiled softly at them. Her boys. It was going to be hard in the coming days, hell it was hard now, but it was going to get worse soon. She was just glad she had them both. Hermione was watching Ron's face as she came over and stood behind them "Its freezing out here, what are you both doing out here?" she asked pulling her sweater tighter around her. She looked down at the fire as the boys exchanged the locket. Hermione didn't even want to look at it unless she had to.
Hermione looked around the clearing and toke in the trees, the bushes, all of it. She sighed "How about i try to find something to eat?" she said pretty sure they had some crackers or something somewhere. She smiled at both Harry and Ron. Ron was sure to be miserable being as she just toke the necklace off and Harry was likely to start feeling miserable now that he had it on. Hermione pitted both boys at the moment. Hermione still had no idea on how to destroy the locket. Though it was clear they had to, Hermione had no idea as to how they would do such a task. Hermione had been searching, searching high and low but....nothing. Absolutely nothing. She sighed at the boys and tried to still seem cheerful, a small smile on her face.

Ron turned his head slightly as he heard someone call out. He watched as Harry sat down next to him, but still didn't say a word. He was sure it was obvious from his features that he was in no mood to talk, but he believed it was more of the locket talking then his actual emotions however. But as Ron watched Harry's hand reach out for the locket, he felt it become heavier on his neck. He immediately wanted it off, and did all but tear it from his neck to give it to his friend, feeling the weight lift off of him. He could tell that there was a shift between all the friendships, between him and Harry and Harry and Hermione, but he supposed it was just to deal with everything that was going on lately. It seemed like, to him at least, that Hermione and Harry were taking a step forward and Ron was dragging them all behind.
Taking off the locket did lighten his mood a little, and turning to see Hermione poke her head out of the tent helped as well. He wasn't sure, but ever since he had broken up with Lavender, there had been a shift in their relationship as well. Ron smiled up at her as she made her way out, or at least an attempt at a smile. He was sure it looked more like a grimace, with the way he was feeling at the moment. But he always tried to smile for Hermione, knowing that their current situation was hard on her. "I was on watch, then Harry came out to relieve me." Ron said, watching as she pulled her sweater closer for warmth. Was it bad he wanted to wrap his arms around her until she was warm again? Probably.
He nodded at the idea of food. "I'm starving." Ron said, but it was well known in the group. They would send Hermione, because Harry could been seen easily by a Snatcher and Ron was in no shape to apparate, to the market every once in awhile to get food for the group, but most of the time they were left starving. It was something that they had all learned to live with, but of course Ron, who was always hungry in the first place, was not adapting well to this new situation. But it was just another thing he was going to have to get used to he supposed. After all, they were off running around the country with Desirable Number One, there was bound to be some downfalls with that. STATUS?! complete! WORDS?! 434 TAGGED?! harry and hermione!
